With all the Good news about getting into the Big Dance I thought about next year. I am totally confused as to the status of Jassey, in regards to the red shirt rumors and how it would work.

I believe, if I have it right, He would ask for a medical red shirt. As he hasn't played a single minute in the regular season this year would this year count as the red shirt year and he would have 4 years eligibilty left or would he sit out next year and have only three years eligibilty left.

Can anyone explain? PLEASE

This year is the 'redshirt year' and he will have 4 years remaining! :wink:

He's a regular redshirt. He didn't check into any games. He has 4 years of eligibility left.

Medical redshirt is when you play in less than 20% of your games and have an injury (ie CU's Funk). Once you play in over 20% of your games (about 6 games), you've used a year of eligibility.
