Fall out MSU

Missouri State immediately fills that open scholarship
from the booted player with DePaul's Mike Bizoukas!

Ohhhh Grrrreat! Now we're gonna' get torched by Valla in an exhibition game (if we playin D-II Lewis U.)

There's one thing that if it never happens again it'll be too soon...losing exhibition games to DII teams...absolutely do not mean this as a knock on anyone but I hope that is a thing of the past.

Amen to THAT!
Not much good comes out of losing exhibition games.

Exhibition Games

Exhibition Games

Bradley should NEVER, NEVER, EVER lose an exhibition game to a Divn.II or Divn. III program!

This is probably true, although I would also say that fans should never never ever place too high of expectations on an exhibition game.

I am more inclined to agree with this. The exhibition games mean little. Wake me up when the real games start.

Sure, these guys didn't play a ton, but no team in the MVC has more minutes to replace than MSU. If their new players can't come in and produce immediately, they might be in a world of hurt.

They seem to have a good class coming in, but you just never know.

Valla was a walk-on and Cooper had 5 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists all season...I imagine we will be alright

Replacing our line up had nothing to do with these two and we will be better than most think
That won't be difficult in my eyes. I predict MSU will play a similar role to this past year's BU team; one great player on a struggling team.

MSU has to replace:
3 30+ minute contributors
3 10+ points contributors
66% of their minutes
62% of their points
58% of their rebounding
82% of their assists

Zo was able to put together a patchwork champion (2 JUCOs and 2 transfers), but he left with only an almost bare cupboard.

I like the Bear's recruiting class as much as any other team in the Valley, but no team is putting more hope in newcomers than Missouri State.

I hope so, but then we could say the same about BU doing better than what people think, but who really knows with a new coach and 4 freshmen expected to contribute immediately. And BU could put together a starting line-up with guys that have at least 1 yr. experience, while MSU only 2 or 3.
Too much uncertainty with MSU not to consider them a play-in team next season.

I understand and expect most people to consider us a play-in team considering what we lost. We have a few guys with some experience in Weems, Pickens, Scheer, Rhine and Patterson. I really like our 3 juco guys plus the DePaul transfer won't hurt us and our frosh are very athletic. We will see what happens but I really like our pieces and we will be much more athletic with better size.
