Bradley women's basketball

The Bradley women's team has landed a 2026 commitment, from Ashlee Monaghan, a 6'3" forward/center from Perth, West Australia.

Ashlee has played in Australia with AUSA (Australia's National AAU Program) and the NBL1 Goldfield Giants. She has also played in the NXTPro Puma Circuit Program in the US. In '25-'26 she is playing with the Warwick Senators club team, another NBL1 team based in Perth.

Ashlee Monaghan, who committed and signed with Bradley under Coach Popovec, has re-committed to play at Bradley for new Head Coach Chia Meier.

I thought there might be a Bradley announcement listing the new Coach and her recruits and another women's basketball news for the upcoming season. I think she could have a pretty decent team coming back
 
New Bradley women's head coach Chaia Meier has re-offered 6'3" forward London Sommerville, a 2027 player at Peoria Richwoods High School. London already had received an offer from previous BU head coach Kate Popovec.
For anyone who doesn't know, London is the middle child of Bradley Hall of Famer Marcellus Sommerville.
Btw, 'Cellus' youngest son, Lawson (class of 2031), is already starting to get noticed by D1 recruiters- www.x.com/recruitszone/status/2051698140378448331

Yes, disappointing from a fan perspective. Not only because they are very talented, but are good people as well. Would love to have anybody from the Sommerville family continue to represent Bradley.
However, happy for them that they are able to play and attend school where they choose, just wish it was at BU.

nobody knows for sure but Bradley total pool of NIL for WBB is prob in the $100K range
Creighton's is prob in the $1 mil range

We're lucky to have the Wardle kids- and maybe we could still land a Sommerville down the road...
Lathan still has three years left, so if he doesn't get respectable playing time this year, perhaps he'd be interested in BU?
Lathan barely logged 12 min per game in Big Ten play on a 7-13 team that had no shot at the post-season.
Perhaps he will reflect on how his dad transferred out of the Big Ten and made it to the Sweet Sixteen with Bradley
and even got his photo on SPORTS ILLUSTRATED.
