A nice win for the Braves in the first game of the conference series at Belmont, 13-8. Sixteen hits for the Braves. Good pitching in relief from local product Ryan Schaffnit, a freshman, with his first win for the Braves.

After winning the first game of the weekend series at Belmont 13-8 on Friday, Bradley lost Saturday 8-0, and again today, Sunday, 12-11.
The Sunday game looks like it was quite unusual. Bradley fell behind 9-0 after 3 innings, but then scored 11 runs in the 4th to take an 11-9 lead.
But Bradley did not score again, and Belmont scored 2 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th to win 12-11.

Yes, from watching the broadcast, Sunday's game was insane. Down 9-0, then we score 11, then we loaded the bases in the 9th without scoring, then gave up a run in the 9th to lose. As usual, we were way short of pitching.

It's good to get one win on the road, but we had opportunities to win two or three. Next year...
