More MVC expansion on the way?

Yes, I did. It is right there in my post- "If expansion is inevitable, why not at least look at the better teams and cities of the Horizon again- Oakland, Milwaukee, Wright State, NKU, etc.?" Those schools are all much better aligned with the footprint of the MVC and are historically good...

More MVC expansion on the way?

I can think of a lot of better options than these three- In the recent past, the MVC expanded by taking the best teams from the Horizon league, then it was the weaker Ohio Valley Conference, and now we are hearing that they want to raid the ultra-weak Summit League. And not the best Summit...

There are rumors that the MVC is again considering expansion. The rumor, unconfirmed so far, is that the MVC is considering adding 3 more schools- University of Missouri- Kansas City, University of Nebraska- Omaha, and St. Thomas University of St. Paul, Minnesota. That would expand the...

    Bradley Scholarship Grid

Yes, Timoty van der Knaap and Gus Rugaard will get one additional year. But, Thornbrue and Williams are not the same. Ben Thornbrue spent 3 seasons at juco- redshirt year in 2023-24 at Snow College, played 2024-25 at Lane Community College, and played 2025-26 at Southern Idaho CC. So Ben has...

    Bradley Scholarship Grid

Despite a couple recent wins for the NCAA. there are still dozens of active lawsuits against the NCAA's new eligibility rules, involving hundreds of athletes. So the Bradleyfans.com governing council has opted to wait a little longer to see how these are resolved and what effect they have...

    Other Valley teams' schedules

Speaking of preseason intersquad scrimmages.... Indiana used to fill their arena for preseason scrimmages. But maybe the fan interest is starting to drop a little. They have had only one winning Big Ten season in the last 10 years, but regular season attendance has stayed strong. But, here is...

    US Senate passes NIL bill

Pardon me for a short rant... That article is a bit of a distorted and biased interpretation of what the bill is intended to do. First, the writer tries to paint this Protect College Sports Act as some kind of draconian set of unfair rules created solely by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. He suggests...

Thanks for the report, scoretable! It looks like another terrific year ahead for the CC teams, after last year's historic successes. Both the men's and Women's teams swept the 2025 MVC Championships for the second year in a row, and for the men it was the 3rd time in the last 4 years...

Another interesting lawsuit - you knew this was coming....

The case in Ohio that initially ruled a bunch of athletes were entitled to an extra year of eligibility received a temporary injunction in August, on the NCAA's appeal. And today, the First District Court of Appeals in Ohio has reversed the original trial court’s injunction, which means the...
