Men's and Woman's golf MVC Conference Championship time

It is now the post season for the men's and women's golf teams. The men play at Annbrier Golf Course in Waterloo, IL on the 26-28. The women's team got underway today at TPC at Deer Run in the Quad Cities and they started quite well as they are in 2nd after the first round at +19, 3 shots behind Murray State. Individually Alyssa Mixon is tied for 1st at +1, Jillian Coster is tied mfor 8th at +5, Caroline McConnell is tied for 13th at +6, Allison Pacocha is tied for 20th at +7 and Peyton Coburn is tied for 33rd at+11... They have 2 more rounds to go.

Day 2 of the Women's MVC Golf Championship was a great day for the BU Women as the team shot +15, the lowest 2nd day score by 10 strokes, and lead Murray State by 12 strokes. BU has 4 players in the top 7 led by Alyssa Mixon who is in 2nd place at +7. Allison Pacocha is in 3rd at +7, Jillian is Tied for 4th at +10 and Caroline McCormick is Tied for 7th at +11. Peyton Coburn is Tied for 17th at +14 but her score of +3 counted for the total. Round 3 is tomorrow and if they pull it out this would be the 4th Conference championship but their first since 2006. Go get em ladies!!

Day 3 of the MVC Women's golf Championship was a tough pill to swallow for BU as they came 1 stroke short of Murray State, The Racers shot a tournament low +13 in the 3rd round completing a 12 stroke comback. Sloane Biddle of Belmont won the individual title with a 3 day total of +6, winning by 7 strokes. Lowest score for BU was Alyssa Mixon as she tied for 3rd with +14. Other scores were Allison Pacocha, Caroline McCormick and Jillian Coster tying for 9th at +17 and Peyton Coburn tying for 15th at +20.
