Trivia question- Largest crowd at Renaissance Coliseum

(if anyone has other info - please correct me if I am wrong)

What's the largest crowd ever for an event at Renaissance Coliseum?

What's the largest crowd the men's basketball team has drawn at Ren-Col?

What's the largest crowd the women's team has drawn at Ren-Col?
as a corollary - what's the largest home crowd the BU women have ever drawn?

Try to guess first, then I guess you can check what I think are the answers....

Men's - LINK

Women's- LINK
Women's largest ever- LINK

Overall, any event- LINK

3,750 - Men's

That said, I would like to see more games played there. Obviously not the ISU Red game, but a low drawing Evansville/Valpo game in the middle of the week would be great to hold there. Students could walk over (assuming they can pull themselves away from Xbox). Reduce the price for the season ticket holders, so they understand they need to pay for this one if they want to attend. It would be as close to the old fieldhouse as it gets.

Maybe the game we knocked out Wardle and Green Bay during Egolf's senior year?

Well I was way off....lol only 1801 at that game

no, check the link- in 2011-12 we hosted SEMO and drew 4340 - Geno had gone to all the dorms and hangouts on campus
and urged the students to show up - AND THEY DID - probably 500 or 600 of them!
It was maybe the one real highlight early in Geno's time at Bradley that impressed me and made me optimistic.

and the 2013 CIT game against Green Bay only drew 1801 - BOX SCORE
The subsequent game at Ren-Col vs Tulane drew 1897 - BOX SCORE

there were a lot of sellouts at the old Fieldhouse, but one of the preseason Red-White Scrimmages once drew 3,500,
and even as late as 2006- 2007 the Red-White drew 2,700- LINK

The RC is not the answer unless you want Bradley to go down to D-2 or 3. Having Exb. games there before the real season begins is fine. The other thing I would stress is for Bradley to negotiate a better deal with the Civic Center especially on concessions.

what would it take to maybe renovate the Armory? ;) Needs a new roof...

Recall...not one single Bradley home game from 1948 all the way until the Glasser/Cross/Ford era (>65 years)
had ever drawn less than 5,000... Since then numerous home games have drawn <5,000, but....
thanks to the current admin & coaches, we are on the way back... averaging almost 6,000 now & well over
that for MVC games... Hopefully we keep rolling and the numbers continue to improve.
